Achieving school readiness can be extraordinarily difficult for English language learners.

In addition to its critical role in English-speaking countries, English literacy has become a key determinant of success in our globalized world economy.

GLEN World has developed a series of educational reading apps designed to help children strengthen their language skills. Our reading apps have been developed with English learners in mind, helping students build on existing language skills. These apps are research-driven, using proven methods to strengthen reading, writing, and speaking skills.

Literacy is perhaps the most important skill in modern society: those whose reading and writing skills are not sufficient for success in education or employment will be left behind.

Our free books for kids, offered as part of our GLEN Books app, are specifically designed for English language learners.

ELL students represent 20% of students in California and 10% of students in the United States. Without intervention, ELL students are at risk of falling behind their non-ELL counterparts. This deficiency has lifelong implications, affecting graduation rates, job prospects, and future income.

Early in an English learner’s journey, they may not have the language skills to jump into a book, making even basic reading strategies less than useful. Our GLEN Learn app is designed to combat this issue
